peter and i did it!! we used or amex miles and booked ourselves a real trip. we are doing it for reals!!! the finn's european vacation is only a short two months away. we decided to be crazy and go to ireland, london and paris!!! it's a lot to do in one one trip but, what the heck. we are crazy. i am so excited. now we just have to figure out how to break the news to riley.

here in the finn household we've been on a soup binge. the funny thing is it's like summer weather here. i guess the internal winter clock is more powerful than mother earths unfortunate global warming. so the all time new favorite is chicken pozole. it is hands down delishousness. it's the kinda soup that you don't get sick of. my friend jackie just gave me a book of 400 soups so it looks like the soup binge will continue.

sunday morning the finn and i decided to get up super duper early and hike down to the beach before the sun was up. the night before was the full moon and it was still up and huge. never would i have imagined getting up so early on purpose and to top it off it was my idea. there must be something in the tofu i'm eating. that was a lame attempt at a funny.

the indian taco has long been a favorite of mine. i remember the first time i tasted the fried taco goodness. there was no looking back. my life would forever be changed. the only down side to the indian taco is that i've never encountered it anywhere outside of the southwest. maybe this should be viewed as a good thing? i might be eating indian tacos everyday if i could order one at the taco truck that's around the corner. in that case i might turn into an indian taco or worse, get sick of them.

on the way to taos to watch a turtle dance at the pueblo on new years. wozers that was a mouth full. this is my idea of awesomeness. i love love love the use of color and images.

riley is the best kissing monster ever. i thought this vintage dog scarf (it belonged to my first dog ayers) was perfect for him.
turns out he loves scarves. it was pretty chilly on our trip so riri kept warm and fashionable in his kisses scarf. he's juat so damn cute.

roadtrip 2008-2009

after christmas the parents, husband, dogs and i went on a southwest roadtrip. first stop canyon de shelly. a place i haven't been to since i was a kid. it was more awesome then i remember.

my future door

my new hobby is to take photos of things that i one day hope to be in my home. it's part of my other new hobby which is manifesting my destiny. ohh wait that's an old hobby. anywho, this door was in gallop, new mexico at the el rancho hotel. the food was super delish and the decor was just right.
